Chocolate and chilies together? They’re divine. At The Bent Spoon, house-made Valrhona chocolate/heirloom habanero ice cream is topped with chocolate sauce, fresh whipped cream infused with vanilla bean, and an amarena cherry, imported from
Italy. 35 Palmer Square West, Princeton, 609-924-2368;

Sugar High
Elvis has left the building. He split. Get it? Get this: the Pop Shop’s banana split with scoops of Bassetts peanut butter swirl, chocolate and vanilla, smothered in peanut butter sauce, hot fudge, Reese’s Cups, nuts, and tons of whipped cream. 729 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, 856-869-0111;

Pitcher Perfect
Yes, the Phillies are a travesty, but the Franklin Fountain’s Seventh Inning Stretch sundae is a winner. A waffle-cone mitt holds a vanilla ice-cream ball “laced” with strawberry sauce and sprinkled with those two ballpark greats, peanuts and Cracker Jack. 116 Market Street, 215-627-1899; franklinfountain.com.
