Spirits: On Tap: Stoudt’s Weizen

By Marnie Old

When the days get longer and the skirts get shorter, it’s time for seasonal wheat beers like Stoudt’s Weizen, a spicy Bavarian-style beauty with yeasty aromas that evoke freshly baked banana bread, from Lancaster County’s Stoudt’s, one of Pennsylvania’s first microbreweries. Check out the fluffy head, fruity scent and cloudy orange glow of this wondrous wheat beer on tap at McGillin’s Olde Ale House off Juniper Street, Fishtown’s Johnny Brenda’s, or TJ’s Everyday in Paoli.
