Debut: Govberg Jewelers at Comcast Center

What to expect at the new Govberg Jewelers in Comcast Center.

It makes sense that Rolex is the only watchmaker that Danny Govberg will carry in his newest venture — Govberg Jewelers at Comcast Center. “The Comcast Center is a state-of-the-art building, and the best of what our city has,” says the entrepreneur, whose last name has been synonymous with fine jewels and time-telling for more than 85 years. “So we decided to sell the number one watch brand in the world there.” When conceiving the new store (which offers about 400 of the famed timepieces, including this Oyster Perpetual Day-Date, which retails for $81,750), Govberg reached out to another group that’s tops in its field: architects Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, best known for dreaming up the traffic-stopping glass cube that is Fifth Avenue’s Apple Store. But this roughly 900-square-foot project, with its white marble walls and minimalist lighting, is all about the legendary goods
